Preservation and Conservation

  • Mayes Creek: The Mayes Creek group is very active in preserving the character and quality of life of Williamson County by protecting rural and open areas like Mayes Creek Basin. The City of Franklin and other jurisdictions have been annexing vast chunks of Williamson County land and massively increasing the zoning for large scale developments.

  • Harpeth Conservancy: Protecting Clean Water and Rivers in Tennessee

  • Heritage Foundation of Williamson County: A non-profit that preserves, promotes, and advocates for the historic places, stories and culture of our community.

  • Preserve Brentwood: Advocating responsible & measured growth to protect the beauty & character of Brentwood.

County Leadership

  • Williamson County Republican Party: Our county party is thankfully very conservative and is active with events where you can meet your elected officials and other Republicans in the county. They also host guest speakers and debates. 

  • Williamson Watchers: All Episodes of the Williamson County TN Republican Party's Podcast.

  • Bill Petty Newsletter: Bill Petty is a Williamson County Commissioner who does an excellent weekly Friday newsletter. Politics and Analysis

  • TruthWire News: If you’d like analysis and detailed commentary on the Tennessee political scene, TruthWire News is for you. The focus is largely on Williamson County as the author, Kelly Jackson lives locally. Kelly is an extremely talented writer who calls it like she sees it. 

  • Tennessee Stands: A very active and influential local group that covers Tennessee politics while based here in Williamson County. They are very plugged into our state government and in informing citizens on what our Republican super-majority is doing (or not doing). Their value set consists largely of God-given rights, adherence to the constitution, and self-government.

  • Tennessee Legislative Report Card: Associated with Tennessee Stands, this unique and informative website scores every Tennessee house member and senator, to ensure legislative transparency and accountability for Tennessee residents.  

  • Moms for Liberty – Williamson County: This is a national organization that has a powerful local presence. They work with our elected school board to ensure age-appropriate materials in our schools and overall promote liberty and parental rights. 

  •  Williamson Rinos: A local version of the Babylon Bee. This satire blog pokes fun at the Republican establishment while covering the political events and happenings in Williamson County.
